The icy winter in Japan is finally thawing, and spring is almost at it’s blooming peak. Everywhere you go, naked spindly tree branches will be clothed in beautiful pink in the forms of “Sakura” or Cherry blossoms.
In the land of the rising sun, April marks the start of life and the time when friends and family gather in each others’ company under the Sakura – also known as “Hanami” or “flower viewing”.
This is a perfect time to capture your favorite Sakura moments and share them via 123RF On The Go (OTG) contest, in partnership with Metropolis, Japan’s No. 1 English magazine. Prance around the falling petals in the cool breeze, or dance around the blossom trees after a few drinks, let your creativity fly and Snap away! Don’t worry if you’re not in Japan, you don’t have to be. Just give us your best shot!
So grab a tarp or a mat, food, some alcohol (can’t celebrate without it!), your pals, and chill out at a nearby park in Japan! Remember, the Sakura starts early in the day and goes on late into the night so make sure you and your mobile camera are well-equipped on that day!

Contest Period: 18 March 2014 – 11 April 2014
Eligibility
The 123RF On-The-Go Contest is open to all participants 18 years of age or older. Participants must submit their true and valid ID copy for verification purposes.
Participants must download and install the App from the Apple Appstore or Google Play store.
The Photo must be accepted by 123RF to be eligible for the Contest.
Upon submission of entry, the participant must add the following keywords/tags:
(1) Hanami,
(2) Location of Park (Park Name, etc)
(3) Country. (E.g. Japan, USA, etc)

Prize(s)
Cash prize of US$300 for the winner.
Prize will be forfeited if the winner does not claim it within 14 days upon notification. In the event of forfeit, 123RF shall select another winner.
123RF reserves the right to replace the prize with another item of equivalent value as determined by 123RF.
Terms and Conditions
All photos submitted for the Contest through the 123RF OTG Mobile App must be shot using an iPhone or Android smartphone. Photos taken by other forms of electronic devices will not be accepted.
Participants must specifically choose the appropriate Theme to upload the photo.
At the end of the Contest period, all eligible photos will be reviewed by the 123RF Panel of Judges and the most creative entries shall be chosen as the winners.
All decisions of the Judges will be final.
The winning entries will be published on 123RF Facebook Fanpage, Newsletter, Blog, and the 18th April issue of Metropolis published in Japan within 2 weeks after the closing date of each Contest.
Winners will be notified by email within 2 weeks after the announcement of the winning entries.
123RF shall remit the Prize via the payment mechanism designated by the Winners during the in-App registration process.
