Without further ado, let’s dig in! We are well into autumn right now and anticipation is starting to build up for the holiday events to come. Naturally we’ll be featuring some festive and seasonal topics in this edition.
Diwali
(happy diwali, diwali background, diwali diya, diya, diwali lamp)
Diwali or Deepavali, also known as the festival of lights, is a beautiful Hindu celebration in November (4th November 2021). Diwali commemorates the triumph of good over evil with lighted diya lamps and colorful rangoli artwork. Being an important religious holiday for one of the world’s major religions, it is no surprise to see this keyword trending this month. Search and download activities start picking up in October and continue to do so till November. Our analysis shows that contents with high demand are those with Diwali greetings, flat lay of diya lamps, henna hands holding diya lamps, Diwali background with copyspace and Diwali banner designs.

Thanksgiving
(happy thanksgiving, thanksgiving food, harvest, cornucopia)
Thanksgiving is the season of gratitude and celebration of the fall harvest. A much celebrated event in November (25th November 2021), so much so that in 2020 the search and download counts increased fourfold in October itself and reached a peak in November. All the more reason to start adding to this collection! Here are some popular ideas that you can work around for your content creation – a fall theme (lots of dry leaves and a pumpkin here and there), Thanksgiving greetings, flat lay or top angle of thanksgiving meals, family and friends gathering together to celebrate with thanksgiving food.

Black Friday
(black friday sale, black friday background, black friday shopping)
As we see more and more businesses moving online especially during the pandemic, the Black Friday sale (26th November 2021) has become more important than ever for retailers, marketers, sellers and of course shoppers (it’s a big sale after all). Therefore, if you have yet to upload any Black Friday related content, it is about time to get started! Highly sought after images include the Black Friday text, shopping bags and tags, gift boxes, shopping carts, Black Friday backgrounds with copyspace and social media banners and ad designs. Searches and downloads can shoot up to five folds from October to November. So don’t miss out on this opportunity that comes only once a year!

Christmas Part 2
(navidad, merry christmas, christmas card)
Here’s part 2 of our trending Christmas keywords which are Navidad, Merry Christmas and Christmas Card. We don’t even need to tell you how big an event Christmas can be when it comes to media consumption and representations; it’s just everywhere! These 3 keywords have had their searches and downloads increasing steadily from October with Merry Christmas starting as early as September, followed later with huge leap in numbers for November and December.
The keyword Navidad was made popular by Feliz Navidad, a song written by Jose Feliciano in 1970 to unite people with it’s unique bilingual approach. It caught on until today and remained a fun greeting world wide. Prominent designs for Navidad include the Feliz Navidad greeting and Christmas themed backgrounds. For Merry Christmas the focus was on cursive typography, Christmas and New Year greetings, isolated Merry Christmas texts and snowy backgrounds with pine leaves. The data for our Christmas Card keyword on the other hand seems to show more festive vector designs, minimalistic and modern card templates and Christmas themed backgrounds with copyspace.

Other significant events that you can consider adding to your portfolio this month are All Saint’s Day, National Epilepsy Awareness Month in November, the start of Hanukkah and winter related stock photos and illustrations. As Christmas also coincides with winter, advertising companies or businesses will also start looking around for winter related contents too; especially during the last week of November. We hope our information this session is helpful and we will see you again next month.
